Flourishing Seeds Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) incorporated in the state of Arkansas with the objective to raise capital required to build a faith-based Christian, bilingual and trading K-12 school in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The severe poverty in Cameroon and many African countries is amplified by a deficit of modern trading schools where children can learn skills to create successful businesses and to positively influence their communities. We are willing to bring our contribution!

Our Dream: Build and Operate a K-12 School in Nkolkoumou, Cameroon

The school campus will be in Nkolkoumou, a rural town of Yaoundé about 35 minutes from the downtown. Yaoundé is the capital of Cameroon and has a population of around 3 million people.

The increasing population of Yaoundé and its surrounding small towns offer a huge demand for education. In fact, the median age in Yaoundé is 18.7 years while 41.25% of its population have between 0 to 14 years old.

With high birth rates of 2.57% expected to continue, the population is also expected to remain relatively young in the future. The average monthly household income in Yaoundé is $110. However, there is a large variance in income.

We are raising funds for a bus shuttle services for students and staff to attend school.
Public schools: Public schools do not offer transportation services to students. There is no zoning planning to assign student to schools based on their geographic location where they live. Students usually walk, pay for motorcycle or taxi services to go to school. For some families, transportation expenses for their child to go to school can reach $30 a month which is 40% of the legal minimum wage.
Private schools: About only 10% of private schools have a transportation service available for their students. These students will pay between $20 to $35 each month to use the school service transportation.
Flourishing Seeds’ School Concept to ensure children are able to receive a proper education in Nkolkoumou. We are raising donations to buy the land, develop the land, build the school, purchase buses, provide educational scholarships and to pay for startup and operational costs.
